Hamilton is New Zealand’s fourth largest city, situated on the banks of the country’s longest river, the Waikato River. 130km from Auckland (approximately 1.5 hour’s drive), Hamilton is the gateway to iconic attractions in the North Island of New Zealand, including the Hobbit Movie Set from The Hobbit/The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Waitomo Caves, and the geothermal wonders of Rotorua. There are direct bus services from Auckland airport to the central bus depot in Hamilton’s central business district, which has a connecting bus service to the University of Waikato. Alternatively, a range of shuttle services from Auckland airport to Hamilton may also be pre-booked:

The venue of the conference is the MSB building of the Waikato Management School, which contains state-of-the-art facilities in modern lecture theatres and seminar rooms. The Waikato Management School , which supports the organisation of the conference, has Triple Crown accreditation for its business education programmes – an achievement shared by less than one percent of business schools worldwide. The University of Waikato, which officially opened in 1964, was ranked 58th in the world in 2012 by the Times Higher Education surveying universities under 50 years old.
